This key point in Ujian History is recalled in Chapter One and Testimony 3.
Journey to Uji (Oil on canvas, artist unknown)
This evocative oil painting captures a pivotal moment in Korainian tribestories — the escape from the flooded Mother Isles and the arrival of the first settlers on the island of Uji in 111BL (Before Law).
The scene, rendered in sweeping strokes and muted, earthy tones, depicts Korainians of all scales, huddled together in wooden boats, braving storm-tossed seas beneath a brooding sky. Their faces are turned toward a distant shore, where the promise of sanctuary and new beginnings awaits.
Entitled Journey to Uji, the piece is an example of in-world art chronicling the resilience and migratory roots of the Korainian people. It was prominently displayed in 267AL (After Law) at The Wellbeing Institute in City Korai as part of the City Korai Volcanis Art Exhibit. The exhibition was generously sponsored by The Oolist Water Family.
Among the notable attendees of the exhibit was a newly initiated adult from The Pits (The Lowest Lower Region), accompanied by their potential Soulmate (Scion and Rainbow).
